Charlie Day, the schmuck to rule all schmucks, might have to fight Ice Cube for an upcoming movie. The two actors are in talks for the New Line comedy Fist Fight, according to The Wrap.

A source told The Wrap that the two are being eyed for lead roles in the upcoming comedy, which revolves around an meek English teacher who is challenged to a fight by a threatening colleague, who has reason to believe the English teacher wants him fired. As you can imagine, Day is wanted for the role of the tough guy—just kidding, he would play the teacher who's gonna get beat up.

This reminds us of another schoolyard comedy that's sure to bring the lols—this one starring Rainn Wilson and Elijah Wood as two school teachers who try to lead an army of normal adults against kid zombies. Cooties comes out in the fall—we're not sure if it's going to be more or less violent than Fist Fight. Only time will tell.

If Day and Ice Cube sign on, The Wrap reports that New Line wants to start production right away, once Ice Cube wraps up Straight Outta Compton. No director is attached yet.
