AMC—the powerhouse network behind Breaking Bad, Mad Men and The Walking Dead is launching a UK sister station in September.

It’s going to be a BT exclusive, which means they’re really upping their game in the war against Sky (who’ve already got a long term deal to show HBO programmes on Sky Atlantic). BT has already splashed the cash to steal Champions’ League football from Sky. AMC UK’s key show will be The Walking Dead spin-off Fear The Walking Dead, which debuts when the station launches. It’ll also show re-runs of Breaking Bad and Mad Men—but there’s no word on Better Call Saul, which is currently a Netflix exclusive in the UK.

Delia Bushell, managing director of BT TV, said: “AMC has showcased some of the biggest and most celebrated series on US television in recent years, including Breaking Bad and Mad Men. We’re confident our viewers will enjoy AMC’s cinematic approach to storytelling and look forward to offering them an outstanding selection of TV series and films in the months ahead.”
