As our entire planet continues to live in agreement that the Ashton Kutcher butchering (Ashton Kutchering?) of the Steve Jobs legacy in the abomination Jobs (holding steady at 27% on Rotten Tomatoes) was a profound waste of misguided effort, we can also harmoniously agree that the forthcoming (and first proper) Steve Jobs biopic — simply titled Steve Jobs — looks quite good.

Steve Jobs — directed by Danny Boyle (Trainspotting) and written by Aaron Sorkin (from the book by Walter Isaacson) — stars Michael Fassbender as the genius Apple gamechanger, Seth Rogen as Steve Wozniak, and Kate Winslet as Joanna Hoffman. As Collider notes, the film pays homage to the champion of minimalism's creative approach by dividing the film into only three scenes — culminating with the 1998 launch of the iMac.

Steve Jobs opens October 9, meaning the aforementioned Ashton Kutchering will soon be erased from our cinematic memories forever. Watch the first trailer above, via Collider.
