Authorities in North Carolina arrested a third grade teacher and her husband after a meth lab was discovered at their home.

The New York Daily News reports that deputies with the Johnston County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant yesterday, discovering the incriminating equipment at the Zebulon, N.C. home of 38-year-old Lori Riley Whitley and her 41-year-old husband, Gary. The Whitleys were taken into custody, and their 8-year-old son was handed over to the Department of Social Services.

The Whitleys face a string of charges including manufacturing methamphetamine and child abuse, and Lori Riley Whitley has been understandably suspended from her job at Wendell Elementary School.
