Seven years after the series finale, The Wire is still inseparable from the City of Baltimore. The HBO show captured the frustrating status quo that's allowed crime to flourish in the city. So it's only natural for people to turn to the show's cast for their thoughts on the Freddie Gray protests. Several cast members have admonished the riots, but actor J.D. Williams (Bodie) has taken a different approach.

Williams shared his own experience with Baltimore police, revealing he and several of his cast mates were arrested while filming the show. He says he's sure Seth Gilliam (Carver) and Andre Royo (Bubbles) were arrested and that he may have forgotten others. He also emphasized that his arrest was "unfair and brutal."
