Japanese fast food chains are a thing of wonder. Most of the things they come out just look mind-blowingly disgusting. Kit Kat sandwiches. Cheese and pizza flavoured chocolate. Burger King perfume.
This burger is less repulsive than those, but it might be the weirdest. Japanese burger chain Lotteria are selling a fish burger—not unlike a McD’s filet-o-fish—but without an actual burger in it. It has the bun, lettuce, tartar sauce… and no patty. And it is actually being sold as a ‘burger’.
We don’t get it. We think it might be a publicity stunt, but it a real thing you can actually buy in Japan.
Here’s proof there’s no burger in there.
