Chris Christie wants to be the leader of the free world, but he can't even answer the tough questions. The governor of New Jersey was in New Hampshire this morning when a diner customer hit him with a question likely to derail any shot he has at the presidency: "We want to know about Tony Soprano. In the last episode, what happened?"
Christie responded without taking a stance, "You know, they didn’t tell me, either. The screen went blank and nobody filled me in, either."
This answer could mean a variety of things, all of them troubling:
- He doesn't know because he hasn't been inducted into the Illuminati. How can we elect someone who's not even Illuminati-worthy?
- He does know, and he's not telling us because the Illuminati has sworn him to secrecy. How can we elect someone who would keep such a secret from us?
- He has his own theory but won't tell us for fear of isolating the fans who disagree with him. How can we elect someone so spineless?
We need more answers from Christie.
