Blake Lively says she shared a moment of embarrassment with the leader of the free world.

Answering the world's repeated calls for far less discussions about the ongoing Ryan Reynolds v. baby feces battle, Blake Lively has shifted the global discussion surrounding her current press tour for Age of Adaline to something far more approachable — genuine embarrassment.

Speaking with Seth Meyers about the time she met Barack Obama at a dinner "with all these world leaders," Lively detailed the exponentially humiliating series of events which are collectively humorous enough to actually help me forget the aforementioned poop talk. "The only thing I could think to say to [Obama] was that he'd left [Ryan Reynolds] a voicemail when he was running for president," Lively told Meyers. "So I sad 'You left my husband a voicemail!' and he was like 'Cool!' and I said 'And he deleted it!'"

Lively attempted to soften the blow a bit by comforting the president with the fact that he was "just a senator then," then proceeded to stumble her way through a hefty portion of the alphabet via unfinished sentences and frantic interjections before asking Obama to leave Reynolds a new voicemail. The president obliged, though I like to believe he only did so under the condition that Lively and Reynolds avoid further public poop talk at all costs.
