Ad-Rock Reveals the Truth: Vin Diesel Was Not A Beastie Boys Back-Up Dancer

Ad-Rock of the Beastie Boys (a.k.a. Adam Horovitz) is revealing the devastating truth about Vin Diesel. He was on Late Night with Seth Meyers to talk about his role on Noah Baumbach’s new film While We’re Young, when he said the actor misconstrued his role in the hip-hop band.

Diesel boastfully said he was a back-up dancer for the Beastie Boys back in the day on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last week. The Fast & Furious star and Ad-Rock are from New York City and Diesel used to breakdance, but Horovitz says it didn't go down how Diesel said it did.

Maybe rapper Adam Yauch helped Diesel get into a club when he was underage, he says, “because he was a nice guy.” And then somehow Diesel misinterpreted this as being a back-up dancer?
