Police Got Called to a Birthday Party Because They Thought a Backwards"21" Balloon Was an ISIS Logo

"21" backwards spells "IS", and that's apparently enough to call the police.

Look at the balloon above. It doesn’t look very threatening, does it? Well, police in Sweden thought it did. They thought it was ISIS propaganda.

Fabian Åkesson decorated his flat in Karlskron, Sweden with balloons like that to celebrate his girlfriend’s 21st birthday. Then, as he was brushing his teeth, he saw the cops pull up and knock on his door. It turns out that from the outside, “21” backwards looked like “IS”—a passer-by saw it and instead of just thinking it was for a birthday party, thought it was propaganda for ISIS, and called the police.

Despite clearly being just a balloon they still made him take it down "to avoid further misunderstanding", according to Swedish paper The Local.
