A student at the University of Illinois at Chicago was arrested over the weekend for allegedly sexually assaulting a fellow student while acting out scenes from 50 Shades of Grey

According to the Chicago Tribune, 19-year-old Mohammad Hossain was arrested on Saturday following his encounter with the female student, also 19. Hossain reportedly invited the woman to his dorm room on Saturday evening, instructing her to remove her clothing. That's when he bound her, and the situation rapidly got out of hand:

Once inside his dorm, in the 900 block of West Harrison Street, Hossain allegedly asked the woman to remove her clothing and she did, keeping on her bra and underwear, Karr said. He then bound her hands above her head and to a bed with a belt, used another belt to bind her legs and stuffed a necktie into her mouth, Karr said.

Hossain used a knit cap to cover the woman's eyes, Karr said, and removed the woman's bra and underwear. He then began striking the woman with a belt. After hitting her several times, the woman told Hossain he was hurting her, told him to stop "and began shaking her head and crying, said Karr.

The Tribune ads that Hossain then began to hit the woman with his fists. Although she managed to free herself, he pinned her arms behind her back and proceeded to sexually assaulted her. When he finally allowed her to leave, she told an acquaintance prior to calling police.

Hossain, a student ambassador and member of the triathlon team, was charged with sexual assault. As of last night, he was still being held on $500,000 bail.
