Larry David is living in New York for the next several months while he stars in his Broadway play Fish in the Dark. The Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm boss apparently plans on staying in a hotel while he’s in town, and as he is wont to do, he used a late night TV appearance to share how his situation will impact his sex life.

On The Late Show, Larry and David Letterman expressed their mutual admiration for hotel sex like a couple of wise old pros, highlighting the benefits of, as Larry put it, “transience.” Also, nobody knows how many days in a row you’ve worn those pants.

“There's no messy goodbyes or emotional scenes, it's all done,” Larry said regarding his potential encounters. “Hotel sex, it's different. It’s engaging.”

That knowing nod and smile from Letterman tells you everything you need to know about whether Larry is speaking the truth.
