In what can only be described as the perfect shitstorm of terrible things converging in one place, icy conditions and snow from an arctic blast contributed to a 150-vehicle pileup on a southern Michigan interstate today.  Among the vehicles involved were a truck carrying fireworks, and another truck transporting hazardous formic acid — both of those vehicles caught on fire.

The raw video above, captured by a local news crew, shows that fireworks truck exploding.

At least one person was killed in the pileup and dozens of others were injured. People in Kalamazoo, Michigan within a one-mile radius of the acid truck were told to take cover, but authorities later said the acid had burned off and was not a threat.

Busy Interstate 94  was shut down in both directions.
