Breaking: Two NYPD Officers Have Been Shot in The Bronx

A manhunt is currently underway in the Bronx following the shooting of two NYPD officers. One officer was shot in the back and the other in the arm, according to NBC. Both have been taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, and their injuries are considered non-life threatening

The shooting occurred at 10:30 p.m. on East 184th Street and Tiebout Avenue. The suspect(s) hasn't been apprehended, but police have recovered a gun.

Update: The officers were responding to a robbery, according to the New York Post. The suspect fled and eventually crashed when the officers attempted to pull over the car. The gunman then left the vehicle and opened fire on the officers. 

Update 2: The New York Times is reporting the two officers shot were working in plainclothes as part of an anti-crime detail. Police are looking for "at least" two suspects.
