A woman was caught trying to smuggle cocaine hidden inside of packets of custard and milk powder at JFK International Airport in New York City last month, authorities say.
The Associated Press reports that a K-9 dog tipped U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents off to the suspicious suitcase back on Nov. 21. It belonged to an unidentified woman who was returning to the U.S. from Guyana. Her luggage contained three packages of custard and milk powder each, and the substance inside was confirmed as cocaine following tests.
According to the Associated Press, the woman currently faces federal drug smuggling charges. This happens far too often.
