Just when you thought it was out, Ebola pulls you back in.

After the U.S. was deemed “Ebola-free” a couple weeks ago, it seemed like we were in the clear from the disease that has devastated West Africa. Perhaps lulling us into a state of complacency, Ebola may be attempting a comeback in Boston, where a patient was admitted to Massachusetts General Hospital last night fitting the CDC criterion of a “person under investigation” for possibly having the virus.

MGH Director of Emergency Preparedness Dr. Paul Biddinger said that the patient was in good spirits and is in stable condition, and further added that nobody in the city or hospital is in any danger. “We feel extremely confident that all of our patients, all of our staff, all of our visitors are completely safe,” he said.

MGH has been undergoing routine training exercises for such an incident, so they’re undoubtedly well prepared to handle the virus’ attempt to return to relevancy. Nice try, Ebola. Not going to happen.
