Complex cover star Jerry Seinfeld's favorite show is getting ready for its fifth season. Ahead of the Jan. 8 season premiere IFC has released a new trailer for Portlandia. Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein are apparently over having one of the best comedies on television and are aiming to make the best crime thriller.
In the trailer Portland police are looking for an arson whose been profiled as a "weirdo." That narrows it down to every single character on Portlandia and any new ones that may arise. Judging by the list of guest appearances, there will be a lot of new weirdos.
IFC has confirmed Portlandia filmed scenes with Vanessa Bayer, Steve Buscemi, Shepard Fairey, Greta Gerwig, Peter Giles, Matt Groening, Anna Gunn, Justin Long, Jane Lynch, Natasha Lyonne, Seth Meyers, Brigitte Nielsen, Parker Posey, Paul Reubens, Paul Simon, Olivia Wilde, and Oscar the Grouch.
By the time you're done processing how incredibly stacked that list is, Portlandia will be beginning its fifth season.
