If you got dragged out to the movies with your out-of-towner cousins, your mom or your creepy uncle this holiday weekend, you most likely saw that less-than-action-packed exploration of media strategy The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1.

Mockingjay topped the box office for a second weekend in a row, bringing in $56.9 million, according to the studios' Sunday numbers.

Katniss easily outgunned the weekend's new releases, including the family-friendly Penguins of Madagascar's $25.8 million No. 2 debut, and the R-rated Horrible Bosses 2's weak No. 5 debut of $15.7 million. This, my friends, is why we're doomed to every blockbuster being rated PG-13.

Mockingjay has now made more than $480 million worldwide in its first 10 days of release.
