There is probably nobody more relieved right now than Ashton Kutcher.

Variety is reporting that Christian Bale has dropped out of the running to play Steve Jobs in the upcoming biopic directed by Danny Boyle. Bale had previously replaced Leonardo DiCaprio in the lead role, and Seth Rogen was also confirmed to be playing co-founder Steve Wozniak.

Writer Aaron Sorkin put it best when describing how Bale fit the role, saying “We needed the best actor on the board in a certain age range and that’s Chris Bale. It’s an extremely difficult part and he’s gonna crush it.”

Maybe Ashton will offer his services as a replacement?
