Charlie Brooker's Weekly Wipe Will Return in 2015

And prepare to look back on a "relentlessly grim year" with 2014 Wipe.

Charlie Brooker’s scathing satirical show Weekly Wipe will return for a new series in 2015.

The topical comedy programme will also be preceded by Brooker’s annual review of the year show 2014 Wipe. Production company Endemol said:

“[the special] will look back on a relentlessly grim year where the cheeriest stories were people throwing ice over themselves, couples consciously uncoupling and an installation of poppies celebrating the untimely death of millions of young men.”

It will be then followed by another six episodes of Weekly Wipe in January on BBC 2. Brooker will be joined by returning contributors Brian “Limmy” Limond and Jake Yapp, as well as recurring talking head characters Barry Shitpeas and Philomena Cunk.

Brooker’s sci-fi drama series Black Mirror will also return next month, with a Christmas special on Channel 4.
