A British banker was arrested over the weekend for allegedly murdering two women at his luxury apartment in Hong Kong.
According to the Wall Street Journal, 29-year-old Rurik Jutting phoned police from his apartment early Saturday morning to confess to killing the women, who are believed to be sex workers. . One of the women was aged between 25 and 30 and had cut wounds to her neck and one of her buttocks, according to a police statement.
The second woman’s body, also with neck injuries, was discovered in a suitcase on the apartment’s balcony, police said. A knife was seized at the scene.
Cocaine and sex toys were also reportedly recovered at the scene. Jutting, who worked for a Hong Kong office of Bank of America Merrill Lynch, appeared in a Hong Kong court today to face murder charges in connection with the women's deaths.
