A judge has ordered that the nurse who refuses to remain quarantined in her Maine home due to Ebola concerns remain at least three feet away from everyone.

According to ABC News, the state department of health was empowered by the law today:

Maine's health department has been granted a temporary court order restricting Hickox's movements until a hearing can take place. She must agree to active monitoring, coordinate her travel with health authorities, not be present in public places, not leave the town of Fort Kent and stay at least 3 feet from anyone when she does go out, according to the order.

The restrictions fall short of the mandatory quarantine and forced Ebola blood test officials had threatened earlier in the week.

Hickox was forced into quarantine after exhibiting fever symptoms at Newark International Airport. Hickox had been working with Doctors Without Borders to treat Ebola patients in Sierra Leone. After being allowed to return to her Kent, Me. home, she was advised to stay inside of her home until Nov. 10, when the 21-day Ebola incubation period ends.

She elected to do otherwise, and it remains to be seen if she'll adhere to this decision. ABC News that another ruling is expected to be delivered later today.
