Better Call Saul is scheduled to premiere next February, but we still don't know a whole lot about it. Even the trailer released earlier this month raises more questions than it answers—mainly, is this actually even a trailer? Now we know a little bit more of what to expect after reading The Hollywood Reporter's interview with Bob Odenkirk, who says the show will be 85 percent drama and 15 percent comedy.
Odenkirk has previously said the show would be "slightly more dark than it is funny," but his latest interview suggests even less balance. It's good to see Better Call Saul will have at least some humor, though. The Breaking Bad lawyer was as reliable for comic relief as he was for colorful metaphors.
The star didn't have much else to say about the content of the show, perhaps because he's barely seen it. "I don't really want to know what's coming later, and I don't look back at what came before," Odenkirk said to THR. "I think it's a perfectly good way to approach acting to not know what the fuck is going on."
At least we don't have to take that approach to viewing. Now we know something about what's going on.
