Eric Lynch, better known to Howard Stern Show fans as "Eric the Actor," and formerly, "Eric the Midget," has died at age 39, according to a Twitter post by his manager.

For more than 12 years, Lynch called in to Stern's morning radio show during almost every singel episode. He was best known for angrily hurling insults at Stern and other personalities on the show, but he never stopped calling, and Stern never stopped taking his calls.

Stern himself often admitted on the air to being "fascinated" by Lynch's life and habits, despite listeners often complaining that Lynch was ungrateful for the many TV acting roles that Stern helped him book over the years.

Lynch appeared on the TV series American Dreams, Fringe and In Plain Sight, among others.
