The Office movie is officially happening.
OK, before you get too excited, we’re not talking about the Michael Scott/Dwight Schrute buddy cop comedy we’ve all been waiting for. Instead, we’ll be getting more excruciatingly awkward moments with Ricky Gervais as he brings the U.K. version of the show to the big screen.
If you’re a fan of cringing and being uncomfortable, then this may just be your favorite movie of all-time. Gervais’ David Brent is one of the most ill-adjusted human beings ever to walk the earth, and in this film Brent will be attempting to become a rock star by basically paying to go on tour.
Gervais has promised to “show the full horror” that unfolds as a result, and if that’s really true then audiences may find themselves begging for him to stop after five minutes.
