What do you do when you’re nominated for an Emmy? Make your next project an off-Broadway play, naturally!
That seems to be the strategy Peter Dinklage and Taylor Schilling are taking, as they’ll be co-starring in the East Village-based Classic Stage Company’s production of A Month in the Country. The play is based in the 19th century and stars Schilling as a Russian housewife who falls in love with her son’s tutor, but also must ward off the advances of a love-struck man played by Dinklage. Sounds…not nearly as exciting as Orange Is the New Black or Game of Thrones.
Look, it’s perfectly fine for these stars to pursue these little side projects in their respective shows’ “offseason.” By all means, indulge your passion projects when you have the time.
Just don’t make it a habit. The world needs you back on TV where you belong.
