We’re living in a world where Matthew McConaughey is an Academy Award winner and an Emmy nominee. Is it really so far-fetched to think he could be a world-saving scientist too?
He certainly seems confident that he can do so in the latest trailer for the terribly bleak-looking Interstellar. From acclaimed director Christopher Nolan, McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, and others travel into a newly-discovered wormhole in the hopes of finding a planet that can sustain Earth’s inhabitants.
It’s hard not to applaud McConaughey’s conviction that he’ll make it work, but the logistics of moving an entire planet full of people into a totally different one seem absolutely mind-boggling. The movie drops on November 7, so we’ll find out soon enough if it is even possible.
