Star Trek 3's first-time director, Roberto Orci told IGN he will no longer be involved in the upcoming Spider-Man 3

He also provided insight into the future of Spidey's franchise saying plans about "The Sinister Six" and "Venom" remain uncertain since nothing has been determined.

Earlier this year Orci parted ways amicably with longtime writing partner Alex Kurtzman, who is set to write and direct the "Venom" movie.

The Amazing Spider-Man 3 is currently slated for a June 10th, 2016 release.

Orci, who will also be co-writing Star Trek 3, has credits that include co-writing the first two Star Trek films, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and the first two Transformers films.
