According to a report from Bloomberg, Microsoft is set to announce a round of layoffs that could result in the company's largest restructuring since 2009. Currently, the company has 127,104 employees, but the popular business publication is saying that two sources from within the company are signalling that marketing and engineering divisions within Microsoft will be reduced. It is likely that the global Xbox team in Reading, U.K. will lose members of their marketing staff, according to Bloomberg's sources.

Recently, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella released a memo to the company detailing his business strategies, as well as his commitment to the Xbox. Unfortunately, it appears that the company will have to endure some bumps in the road on their way to Nadella's envisioned success.

Microsoft has declined to comment on the report. Bloomberg states that the changes could happen as early as this week.
