Mel Gibson just picked up a lifetime achievement award from the Karlovy Vary film festival this week, and he says he's moved on from his controversial anti-Semetic comments. Of course, we're still talking about them because Gary Oldman brought them up in a recent Playboy interview, even though, as Gibson points out, that shit was eight years ago.

Gibson mostly keeps the crazy at bay in his interview with the Hollywood Reporter, but he does admit he has no clue what he's doing. "I never did really have a master plan. I just do what's in front of me and what interests me at the time," he said.

He also said he won't finance any more of his own films, even though the $30 million he spent making the Passion of the Christ turned into a $600 million gross.

"I'm out of that business of financing my own films because they see you coming and take you for a ride. I'm not a fool," he said. "It's difficult for the things I deem worthy to direct, where you can get a really good compelling story out of -- nobody else has much faith in it and never did."

Gibson's next project is Blood Father with William H. Macy and Elisabeth Rohm, which comes out in 2015.
