Have you ever wondered what would happen if pretty much every fairy tale got combined into one epic movie with an amazing cast? Dream no more; we have the first trailer for Into the Woods, a movie-musical from Chicago director Rob Marshall.

The cast is loaded with huge names: Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp, Anna Kendrick, Chris Pine, Emily Blunt, James Corden, Tracey Ullman, and Christine Baranski all play prominent roles in this adaptation of Stephen Sondheim’s play. An amalgam of the famous Brothers Grimm fairy tales, the movie will consolidate the stories of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel, blending them with the primary story of a baker and his wife looking to start a family.

Into the Woods opens on Christmas Day, and while we’re sad that none of the music made it into this first trailer, we’re already so fired up we can hardly stand it. Now, please excuse us while we head to the hair salon and ask for “the Streep.”
