Many eyes are on Chadwick Boseman, as he takes on the role of another cultural icon, James Brown, in the upcoming biopic Get On Up. Having delivered a stellar performance as Jackie Robinson in the film 42, Boseman was tapped to play the Godfather Of Soul, by director Tate Taylor. Set for an August 1 release date, we sat down with Chadwick to discuss the new role.

When asked about the film, Boseman immediately opens up stating, "I don't think you've ever seen a biopic like this." Get On Up cover Brown's story, but in a format that is untraditional to many autobiographical accounts. He also goes on to share some of the reactions he experienced when researching Brown, but jokingly states, "There's some things I couldn't even tell you." We bet.

Chadwick also speaks on working alongside impressive musical co-stars in the film, what music he's listening to currently, and teases us with a little info about his next film Gods Of Egypt. Check out the interview above.
