Malls aren't doing so well these days, but the only thing that can trump an abandoned one in terms of sheer creepiness is a mall that's basically become an aquarium.

Bangkok, Thailand's New World shopping mall was allegedly set ablaze in 1999 by a rival, and has been abandoned ever since. In the wake of its vacancy, its been flooded by several feet of water, and fish have replaced the shoppers who used to inhabit it. Catfish and koi, to be specific.

Jesse Rockwell, of A Taste of the Road fame, snuck into the mall to snap pictures of the place. It's staggering to behold, but at least someone (or, rather, something) is using the mall.
