An Arkansas woman who recently turned 116-years-old is officially the oldest living person in America.

Gertrude Weaver turned 116 on Friday, celebrating her birthday at the Silver Oaks Health and Rehabilitation Center in Camden, Ark. The Associated Press adds that Gerontology Research Group used U.S. Census records to confirm the information, also learning that Weaver is the second-oldest living person in the world, trailing only Misao Okawa, also 116, of Japan.

Weaver told the Associated Press that "Trusting in the Lord, hard work and loving everybody" have been her personal keys to sustaining such a long life.
