Play The New "Far Cry" With Friends on PlayStation 4 Without Even Owning It (Video)

PlayStation announced that the upcoming "Far Cry 4" will be playable with friends even if you don't own a copy.

The new Far Cry 4, set to drop this fall, has a feature on the PlayStation 4 that could make you some friends. PlayStation revealed that owners of the game will be able to invite their other PlayStation 4 owning friends to cooperative multiplayer, even if they don't own a copy of the game. Players won't be able to play the main story but will get romp around on elephants and ultralights with machine guns taking out bad guys.

Far Cry 4 owners will be able to invite friends over the PlayStation Network who will then join the open-world combat in the new mountainous setting. Players won't be able to play the main story but will get romp around on elephants and ultralights with machine guns taking out bad guys. This feature is exclusive to the PlayStation 4 system as the time of this article.

Check out the opening sequence above which introduces the series' new villain, Pagan Min. Players will take the role of Ajay Ghale who travels to the fictional Himalayan region of Kryat following his mothers death but gets into a spot of trouble with Min, the local despot.
