Michael Douglas has spoken out about the departure of his Ant-Man director Edgar Wright. Since Wright left the movie, which stars Paul Rudd as the titular character, producers have been unable to find a replacement.

“I was, very disappointed. I’m a big fan of his movies [and] it’s a very disappointing situation,” Douglas said. He also revealed that Wright left the film "late in the game."

"I don’t think anybody’s quite recovered," he said. “My heart goes out to Edgar. He’s been involved with the project for a long time, but he’s talented enough that you’ll be hearing a whole lot from him, and I’m sure with a little vengeance.”

Adam McKay was rumored to be taking the reigns, but he tweeted last weekend that he met with Marvel but it wasn't going to work out. There's still no director, but the movie remains scheduled to open July 17, 2015. Watch Douglas' interview below:
