Frank Darabont—creator of The Walking Dead, director of The Shawshank Redemption—may have found his next project. He is currently in talks to direct Snow White and the Huntsman 2, taking over for original director Rupert Sanders.

The Wrap says Darabont has not signed anything yet, so nothing is official. We do, however, have some details about the film itself.

It seems that Kristen Stewart will hardly be seen in the sequel, if at all; they may even drop Snow White from the title. Ah, the indignity of it all.

The reason behind this switch is that Chris Hemsworth, who plays the titular Huntsman, has become a much bigger star since the original film came out in 2012, and can now carry the franchise on his own. The thought is now to center the franchise around him, rather than the further adventures of Snow White.

Poor K-Stew, girl just can't catch a break these days.
