Magneto and Xavier Have a Clash of Ideals in This "X-Men: Days of Future Past" Clip

Want to see some great acting? Take a look at this new clip from “X-Men: Days of Future Past.”

Great acting is never a priority for comic book films, but thankfully it looks like X-Men: Days of Future Past is going to have it anyway. In this new clip from the movie, Professor Xavier (James McAvoy) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender) almost come to blows on a plane over their differences of opinion over mutant rights. Without the proper context it’s hard to get much out of this clip, but it’s easy to see that both actors are completely invested in bringing this classic comic dynamic to life.

This clip also sheds some light on just how Professor X is able to walk after being paralyzed in X-Men: First Class. Apparently he has undergone some treatments that have fixed his body at the cost of his mutant abilities. This is a choice that might not sit well with some comic book fans, but it adds a certain depth to the character that should pay off when he clashes with Magneto.

X-Men: Days of Future Past hits theaters on May 23.
