While the foreseeable future holds neither a new NCAA basketball, or football, title, we're forced to look to the past for our college hoops fix.

Back in 2007 the relationship between the NCAA and 2K was downright rosy. It wasn't until the College Hoops series was shelved and put on hiatus in 2008 that2K Sports declined to seek the college license for a 2K9 release. EA got the license for future NCAA basketball titles, but EA discontinued their college basketball game series in 2010.

Shed a tear for the thousands of underpaid never paid NCAA athletes. Here's to hoping they're adequately compensated and we see another NCAA sports title in the future.
