Nearly a week after it was announced that he would step away from his quest for re-election to seek help for substance abuse issues, Toronto Mayor Rob Ford is doing great. According to him.

Ford, who's currently in rehab, told the Toronto Sun that rehab is "amazing." He went on to compare it to a fond memory from his youth: "It reminds me of football camp. Kind of like the Washington Redskins camp I went to as a kid." Hear that young athletes? Football camp is just like rehab. Don't give up on your dreams.

Just because Ford is taking time off to get his life together doesn't mean that he's done with politics, as there's an election to be won. Let it be known that Rob Ford's name will be on the ballot come October. "Of course, I am coming back and I am going to kick butt," he told the Sun. "I will be on the ballot for mayor in October, guaranteed, and I will do well."

He says he's working out daily while still making calls, because opportunities can't be missed, not even when the incumbent is supposed to be taking time off for personal matters.

Still, he wouldn't name the facility he's receiving treatment at. Smart move? We'll see, but at least Ford appears to be headed in the right direction.
