A Martin Scorsese-Mick Jagger HBO pilot is a pretty strange project. Other than being old men, the two don’t have a ton in common. Add comedian Ray Romano to the mix? Now you’ve got something profoundly random.

Despite the odd grouping, the trio will be working together on a music-centered pilot taking place in New York during the 1970s. Scorsese and Jagger are serving as executive producers, with George Mastras (Breaking Bad) and Terence Winter (Boardwalk Empire) co-writing the script.

The show will star Bobby Cannavale (Third Watch, Boardwalk Empire) as a record executive, and Romano will be playing his confidant who also has some sort of mob connection. Olivia Wilde will be playing Cannavale’s Bohemian wife.

No word on timing, but with so many big names involved HBO is sure to blow out the promotion once they start production.
