Even high-level executives fall into the trap of tweeting recklessly and then living to pay for it. The latest to fall is PayPal exec Rakesh Agrawal, who tweeted a series of incomprehensible but profane and inappropriate messages on Friday night. PayPal announced his departure from the company the next morning.
Among other things, Agrawal called PayPal's VP of global communications, Christina Smedley, a "piece of shit" and a "useless middle manager." He later offered an unconvincing excuse - that he had been testing a new phone which led him to accidentally post tweets that were intended to be private messages to colleagues.
However, Agrawal maintains that he resigned from PayPal before the incident and that he was not in fact fired, despite the comany's tweet which suggested otherwise.
Rakesh Agrawal is no longer with the company. Treat everyone with respect. No excuses. PayPal has zero tolerance.

P.s. the tweet from paypal is factually correct but utterly misleading. I resigned before the events of Friday night.
