While this Oculus Rift peripheral may not be practical for the home, like the Omni Virtuix – which really ties the room together – this bird simulator comes complete with flapping wooden wings and wing-tip controllers.
Birdly is an installation at the Zurich University of the Arts and is not planned for production. The fan is a nice touch but without machine guns or a Star Fox game this thing is basically useless. "The participant is embedded in a virtual landscape where his body is the body of a Red Kite," explain the creators.
