The first look at Foxcatcher has finally emerged, likely in anticipation of its debut next week at Cannes, where it will compete for the Palme d'Or.

The film stars Steve Carell as the wealthy but disturbed John du Pont, who establishes a wrestling school at his home during the buildup to the 1988 Summer Olympics. Brothers Dave (Mark Ruffalo) and Mark Schultz (Channing Tatum) both train there, and have their lives become forever intertwined with du Pont's as a result.

Based on a true story, the film is directed by Bennett Miller,who previously earned an Academy Award nomination for Capote. The film was originally supposed to be released last fall, but was delayed due to the significant amount of editing required.

It will finally hit theaters this November. Here’s an early scene from the movie featuring Tatum and a practically unrecognizable Carell:
