Last night, Apple made their marriage to Beats Electronics official by closing out a deal to buy out the company for a flat $3 billion.

Along with that announcement came the news that Beats founders Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine will be brought on as executives at Apple, though what exactly they'll be doing is still a little unclear. TheWall Street Journal is reporting that Dr. Dre and Iovine's titles at the company will simply be "Dre" and "Jimmy," which is either really dope, or a little confusing, as in, "we don't really know what to do with you but let's make sure we're on a first name basis."

All kidding aside, Apple is thought to have bought Beats for its popular headphones, which has been accepted as a electronics device and a fashion accessory for the past few years. So "Dre" and "Jimmy" will likely consult on current and future Apple wearables, like a smartwatch, to assure their fashion appeal is as up to par as their functionality. Also, Beats is said to still operate under the "Beats" label, so there may be future projects for the company yet.
