For three seasons, the Adult Swim animated hit The Boondocks entertained fans in ways few other shows do. Based on the beloved comic strip of the same name, the show revolves around cantankerous Robert “Granddad” Freeman (voiced by John Witherspoon of Friday After Next) and his rambunctious grandkids, Huey and Riley (Regina King of Southland and Ray), who have relocated from their south side Chicago home to live with Granddad in the quiet safety of suburban Woodcrest (a.k.a. “The Boondocks”). Granddad’s attempts at a peaceful life are constantly thwarted by the ornery duo, which force the quiet suburban hood to reckon with the forthright attitudes they’ve brought with them from their big city home. The show also features the vocal talents of Gary Anthony Williams (Boston Legal), Gabby Soleil (Johnson Family Vacation), Jill Talley (Camp Lazlo), and Cedric Yarbrough (Reno 911!) as Colonel H. Stinkmeaner.

Tonight, at 10:30 p.m. EST/PST, the show begins its fourth and final season. In typical Boondocksfashion, this season finds the Freemans in some pretty interesting situations, including Granddad dating a long lost Kardashian sister and, in an ode to Breaking Bad, the family foraying into the dangerous black market world of the hair-care industry. Season four also features a huge host of guest voices, including: Jenifer Lewis (Think Like a Man), Dennis Haysbert (24), Busta Rhymes, Snoop Dogg, Ghostface Killah, CeeLo, Lil Wayne, Donald Faison (Scrubs), Aisha Tyler (Balls of Fury), Kym Whitley (Reno 911!), Tichina Arnold (Everybody Hates Chris), Mo’Nique, Marion Ross (Happy Days), Tavis Smiley, Terry Crews (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Bill Duke (X-Men: The Last Stand), and Cedric the Entertainer (Talk to Me)—as well as guests from last season reprising their roles, including Xzibit, Charlie Murphy, MTV’s Sway and Katt Williams, among others.

Be sure to tune in tonight at 10:30 p.m. EST/PST to catch it, only on Adult Swim.
