Oh My God, This Old Painting Looks Exactly Like George Michael and Maeby's Lovechild (Or Maybe Just Michael Cera?)

This Spanish painting by artist Ignacio Zuloaga looks a lot like Michael Cera.

So, this painting by late Spanish artist Ignacio Zuloaga, titled "Retrato de Dona Carmen Arconada," is a classic. However, as we can all see by taking one fleeting glance at it in a photo taken by a Redditor who saw the painting at a Spanish museum, it's also a crazy accurate depiction of either: a) Michael Cera, or b) what Arrested Development's George Michael Bluth and Maeby Fünke's lovechild would look like if they got all Les Cousins Dangereux with each other and started a family. Like, spitting image

So, what's the story behind this? Was Zuloaga just an Arrested Development fan who unconsciously incorporated the show into his work? Not likely—he died in 1945, 58 years before AD was ever on the air. Time traveler? Maybe...

Here's the full image for the total effect:

...and of course, Cera and Alia Shawcat in the most recent season of AD:

Huh.
