First off, let's get some obvious insights out of the way. H1Z1, the new zombie survival, open-world crafting game looks a lot like the beta of a similarly described and hugely successful Day Z.

“[I'm] not going to give some politically correct dodgy B.S. answer,” said Sony Online president John Smedley via Reddit, “H1Z1 is a survival in a Zombie Apocalypse game. So is Day Z. They have made a brilliant game (first I might add). They have a great vision for it and can count myself and most of the people on our team as fans and contributors.” However while the two sound very much the same, there are some notable differences.

While H1Z1 will be available for Early Access for $20, it will be free-to-play when released. Another difference is that the game will have an emphasis on getting, growing and protecting food and much like another popular open-world game, Rustthere will be no playable female characters during the Early Access launch. The game is set to launch in Early Access on PlayStation 4 and Windows PC.

What do you think? Are you full up on zombie killing or is there room for another free-to-play survival game?
