Apple's slimmest laptops just got cheaper. And faster.

The company dropped the starting price of its MacBook Air models by $100, while adding new Intel processors that increase the speed of the device, and every model now comes with 4GB of RAM. The 128GB 11-inch model starts at $899, and the 256GB 13-inch model runs for $1,199. Apple says that the new Airs will have an improved battery, with the 13-inch models holding 12 hours of battery life, and the 11-inch models holding nine hours. This certainly makes the Air an attractive buy, though its small size and cheaper price means you'll have to sacrifice some of the power and memory that comes from getting a slightly bulkier MacBook Pro.

Would you choose a MacBook Air over a MacBook Pro?
