Los Angeles Hit by 4.4-Magnitude Earthquake

It's being called the largest earthquake the region has felt in 20 years.

Officials say a 4.4-magnitude earthquake hitSouthern California this morning.

The Los Angeles Times reports that the U.S. Geological Survey said tremors were reported five miles from Westwood around 6:25 a.m. PDT. According to CBS Los Angeles, Dr. Lucy Jones of the USGS said it is the largest earthquake the Los Angeles region has felt since the aftershocks of the 1994 Northridge earthquake. 

According to the LAPD and LAFD, there are no reports of injuries or damage at this time. CBS Los Angeles adds that Metro riders should anticipate minor delays this morning
